“The wonderful things in life are the things you do, not the things you have”

Reinhold Messner

My name is Grant Rawlinson – but most people call me ‘Axe’.  I am an inspiring keynote speaker, team building coach, mountaineer and human powered adventurer.  I am born and bred in New Zealand but now reside in Singapore with my lovely wife Stephanie.

In January 2017, I depart on my greatest expedition yet ‘ROWING from HOME to HOME’. This is an attempt to travel from Singapore all the way back to New Zealand, entirely by human power and using a rowing boat as the main mode of transport.

Visit the ROWING HOME page to learn more about the expedition.

You can be involved in the the following ways:

  • Corporates, Clubs and Societies.  I give inspiring keynote presentations to teams and audiences and would love to speak to your teams, sharing the experience and lessons from years of demanding expeditions in unforgiving environments and especially about the most audacious attempt yet – ROWING HOME!
  • Schools – please contact me to see how your classes can be involved, inspired and educated through being part of the ROWING HOME expedition!
