On Friday 4 January 2013, together with Alan Silva, we climbed Mt Dixon, New Zealand’s 23rd highest peak. (Read about that climb here.) The summit ridge of Mt Dixon is an exposed knife-edge and I wrote at the time: “I tried not to look down either side at the hundreds of meters of free fall…
